- Tertan acts as both an eradicant and curative agent in cases of severe infection.
- Tertan inhibits the biosynthesis of ergosterol, a component of fungal cell membranes, preventing their formation and thereby inhibiting the formation of fungal spores.
- Tertan primarily affects the vegetative growth of fungi by halting the growth of fungal hyphae and the formation of new individuals, both within the plant leaf tissue and on the leaf surface.
